Saturday in Design is an annual trade event for the design community which began in Sydney in 2003. 
For one Saturday in one spectacular city the doors of premier designer furniture, finishes, fixtures and lighting showrooms open especially for architects, designers, students and design-loving members of the public to engage with the products they specify, participate in a new product launches and do some serious networking.
In 2011 Singapore launched it’s own version of the event in, attracting over 2,400 visitors to over 30 showrooms and design spaces. The popular event returned this year on 6th October 2012 with an equally exciting agenda.
APS Lifestyle www.smeg.sg, the official Smeg distributor in Singapore, held an event in their stunning showroom which included live cooking demonstrations, an art installation in the form of a graffiti artist spray painting two 50's Retro Style refrigerators (FAB28’s) live, and sampling cakes freshly baked in Smeg ovens!
