A deep awareness of what consumers want and expect has led Smeg to introduce a number of design innovations to its range of dishwashers which further boost their performance.
The Active Light device is one such innovation. Available in top-end built-in models, the system makes using the appliance even easier. Active Light consists of a red LED light which projects a red spot onto the floor beneath the dishwasher door when the appliance is in use (when the wash concludes the light goes out). This makes it immediately obvious that the appliance is running, so situations where the door is accidentally opened before the wash phase has finished can be avoided.
The range also leads the way in terms of energy efficiency. The Enersave function consists of a device which automatically opens the door by a few centimetres at the end of the drying cycle, ensuring perfect drying. Enersave models can reduce energy consumption by 10 or 20% (for 13 and 14 place setting models respectively) compared to regular class A dishwashers.
If you use alternative sources of energy then the benefits just keep on rising. Energy consumption can be reduced by 35% compared to regular class A dishwashers and washing times can be cut by 20% if using water heated by solar energy. The new range also cuts water consumption by up to 40% as only 10 litres of water (13 place setting models) or 12 litres (14 place setting models) are needed to perfectly wash your crockery and cutlery.
The interior design of Smeg dishwashers has also been revised in order to maximise available space. The new upper basket can be automatically adjusted on 3 levels for maximum load flexibility and 14 place setting models also feature an additional basket for cutlery and kitchen utensils.
In-depth research and exclusive design solutions enables Smeg to offer guaranteed performance and results via options and programmes which have been specially developed in line with consumer habits. Smeg dishwashers, regardless of whether a delicate or intensive wash cycle is required, are exceptionally quiet without compromising performance. In some top-end models the noise level is as low as 39dB.
