HOODS - KMN75 NEWSON

RATIONALISM AND FUNCTIONALITY

A modern and minimalist design combined with extremely intuitive functions: the new Smeg KMN75 hoods now join the other appliances from the aesthetic line developed in conjunction with the Australian designer Marc Newson, ensuring 100% stylistic uniformity in your kitchen area. Alongside ovens and gas and induction hobs, the hoods are substantial pieces of interior design, available either entirely in stainless steel or in steel and etched black or white glass.  A standout feature is the digital display with intuitive touch controls. This is a key principle of the Newson philosophy: design as a vision of objects which are defined on the basis of their immediate functionality.

Created as real works of art, the genesis of the products in the Newson range is an exclusive design concept which offers high performance solutions and shows a deep aesthetic awareness. For instance, a perimeter filter system is fitted to the hoods. This consists of flat panels, in steel or glass, separated by openings through which the extracted air passes. By hiding the filters, the lines of the appliance stay smooth and continuous, and at the same time cleaning is made easier: fumes concentrate in small areas, meaning visible parts do not get as dirty.

Other innovative functions include the delay timer for delayed switch-off and the purification function, which expels fumes and odours and ensures constant air re-circulation without consuming a large amount of energy. Operation is extremely quiet too. Finally, the intensive extraction mode enables the motor to operate at maximum power for a short period, removing even the strongest of cooking odours with maximum effectiveness.
